According to the news, the wet season is here.

It means riding in cars in the rain.

For most, it’s an opportunity to slow down. But for some, it can be a twisty journey, with slippery roads, dangerous curves, and occasional typhoons with flooding.

Riding with life can be similar. Being the eldest of four siblings, I traveled ahead of my brothers and sister. I got to play first with toys and receive (more) gifts. Experiencing the pains first, be it a toothache, losing money, or the death of a loved one.

But as I rode in cars and experienced the long and arduous journey of bills and targets, I drifted away from what was essential. Instead of pursuing dreams, I left behind a graveyard of cigarette butts and empty beer bottles.

Until I met the teachings of Master Choa Kok Sui, the founder of modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. Who taught me that peaceful rides depend on fueling my thoughts, emotions, and body with the right energy.

Insights also come.

In 2019, I had a rough time with a friend. One time, this vision appeared while I did the Meditation on Twin Hearts with the Mantra Om Mani Padme Hum.

I was in my apartment, and a human-sized fly buzzed and whirled around me. Good thing I saw Master Choa in there also.

“Master, why does this fly keep on sticking to me? How can I remove it?”

“My dear, you have feces all over your body. That’s why the fly was attracted to you,” he answered. I saw myself covered in brown sticky stuff. Then he asked me to release the things within me, not to hold them in, and let them be removed. The brown stuff slowly falls off my body. The light inside me shone through and turned me into a blinding light.

“What about the fly? What will happen to him?” I asked. “Work on yourself first; as the light inside you shines, so will he become light,” the Teacher assured me.

The fly transformed into my friend. Who shined brilliantly like a diamond.

Recently, my parents visited me in the city. Papa likes to free flow which differs from Mama’s one-pointedness. But energy helped us navigate these curves better. Simple gestures like serving Papa’s peppermint tea with healing energies relaxed him—and praying that Mama’s activities go smoothly cheered her.

It’s still yet a long journey ahead with my family. But my heart smiles that I can share a better ride with them. And as our family continues with this car ride called life, may God’s peace and love be with you and your family.
